Admission & Hospitalisation of small and large animals

CVH has safe and comfortable facilities for small and large animals. The small animal hospital comprises cat cages, dog cages, roomy indoor dog runs as well as infectious desease isolation ward.
Those dogs that are not confine to the indoor runs and cages all get to spend some time every day in the out door runs.

The equine facilities comprise a covered horse stocks , several safe holding yards, a surgery yard and a working area.

Apart from dogs, cats and horses we deal with anything from birds to reptiles, rodents to wildlife.

Farmcalls

Most cattle, sheep and general farm animal work is conducted on farms. It ranges from cattle obstetrics pregnancy testing, caesarians to general desease aoutbreak investigation. We aim to keep waiting time for farm visits to a minimum, but because of the high demand, large distances covered and the unexpected occurance of emergencies we don't always run on time for our farmcalls.

Digital Imaging

In 2007 Collie Veterinary Hospital was one of the first practices to change from conventional radiography to digital imaging with the acquisition of a Poscom/ Metron Digital Imaging unit. This state of the art facility is capable of producing high definition orthopaedic as well as soft tissue images in aminals of all sizes ranging from pet mice to horses and cattle and is of enormous diagnostic benefit to our patients.
